Export the endeca XM site as XML and update before importing

Hi,

I am trying to export the content from endeca experience manager and then import the same but I want to modify the XML (site content) before re-importing . The export_site gives the encrypted XML which does not show the content that was added in endeca Experience Manger. Is there a way to do this in version 11.0 . I know we have this kind of feature in 11.1 and further where we can exportApplication , do the changes and import back the application.
